At the 2015 Annual Delegates’ Conference, Delegates debated the final report of the Governance Review Committee, which recommended a fundamental change in AMAPCEO’s internal governance structure. On Saturday, November 28, Delegates approved, in principle, the new governance structure and directed the Board of Directors to prepare an implementation plan, including specific constitutional amendments, that were brought back for consideration by the Delegates at the Special Delegates’ Conference (SDC) on June 8, 2016.
At the SDC, AMAPCEO Delegates voted overwhelmingly to adopt a report from the Board of Directors on a new governance model for the Union. The new model was implemented in the fall of 2016, when AMAPCEO members had an opportunity to directly elect their new, expanded Board of Directors.
