Earlier this week, AMAPCEO held its annual Workplace Representatives’ Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Toronto.
This year’s conference included:
- a labour relations update from President Dave Bulmer;
- workshops on supporting members with mental health issues and supporting fixed-term employees;
- a film discussion session on courageous conversations about race;
- a keynote speech by Bee Quammie; and
- a panel on strengthening equity in the workplace featuring Angele Alook; Andria Babbington; and Winnie Ng, PhD, moderated by Kelly Doctor.
The event was a resounding success, with 96 of the union’s Workplace Representatives attending.
