AMAPCEO Submits Consultation Brief on 2015 Provincial Budget

Four AMAPCEO flags waving in wind
Update

Thursday, February 19, 2015

AMAPCEO President Dave Bulmer has submitted a brief to the Ministry of Finance as part of the current round of pre-budget consultations.  The AMAPCEO submission focuses on five specific recommendations:

  • The government must end its policy of wage restraint in the public sector;
  • The government must work to increase revenue;
  • The government must continue its efforts on pension reform;
  • The government must minimize the use of consultants throughout the public service, but most pressingly in Information Technology; and
  • The government must, given the Auditor-General’s recent report, look to bring more management of public sector construction projects in-house.
