Important update for members working in the Macdonald Block, Queen’s Park

Update

Wednesday, March 06, 2019

If you work in one of the buildings of the Macdonald Block complex at Queen’s Park, you know that employees have already started to move out to new work locations while those buildings undergo extensive renovations.  All remaining employees will move out over the next few months.  AMAPCEO has been involved in advocating for members’ interests during this planning process and Vice-President Cynthia Watt, who has led AMAPCEO’s discussions with the OPS Employer on relocation issues, has prepared an important update for those affected. In particular, the update:

  • Explains what AMAPCEO has been doing to advocate on your behalf;
  • Includes information on flexible work options and how to submit a request to your supervisor;
  • Describes other resources available on the AMAPCEO website, including details on how to become more involved in your union;
  • Invites you to watch for notices of upcoming AMAPCEO ‘welcome’ meetings over the lunch hour at each of the new work locations where you will be moving;
  • Provides contact information for your elected District Directors to find out more information.

We encourage all Queen’s Park members to read the update and, if  you still have questions, to get in touch directly with your District Director or with Cynthia Watt.
