AMAPCEO congratulates Hugh Montgomerie on his recent election as the District Director for the union’s Eastern Ontario district. Montgomerie is a Senior Business Analyst with the Treasury Board Secretariat. He has been a member of AMAPCEO many years and has been actively involved in the union for a decade. His new role commenced July 26.
Montgomerie rejoins the Board of Directors after having been a member in 2015 and Chair in 2016. Hugh is a long-time Delegate, a Workplace Representative, a Mentor ,and an AMERC representative.
He was a member of the 2014 OPS Bargaining Team and most recently, Co-Chair of the 2019 Board Compensation Committee.
“We’re excited to welcome Hugh back,” said President Dave Bulmer. “Having had some recent turnover at the Board, we look forward to having his veteran presence on the Board again.”
Montgomerie was elected to the position in a by-election following the resignation of Jason Gartshore, who took on a new role outside of the district.
