Last week, 80 AMAPCEO Health and Safety Representatives gathered at the Hilton Hotel in Toronto for the union’s annual Health, Safety, and Wellness Conference.
This year’s conference included:
- remarks by President Dave Bulmer and Vice-President Cynthia Watt
- National Indigenous Peoples Day Recognition and Seven Grandfathers Allyship Exercise by District Director Tim Sim and Indigenous Circle Chair Waasmowin-Mnidoo;
- a keynote session on indoor air quality and ventilation by occupational hygienist John Oudyk; and
- workshops on workplace inspections and Joint Health and Safety Committee requirements and powers by Labour Relations Specialists Rob Harris and James van Manen.
