Activists and Leaders Forum a success

Update

Wednesday, June 13, 2018

Earlier today, Delegates convened at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto for their second Activists and Leaders Forum of the year.

Attendees received important Executive, District Director and workplace updates and heard from Deborah Richardson, Ontario’s Deputy Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation. They also took part in an educational workshop called Leading Conversations that Matter, designed to foster even more communication and activism within AMAPCEO workplaces.

The Activists and Leaders Forum consists of just under 100 members representing AMAPCEO’s major constituencies, including:  the Board of Directors, District Vice-Chairs, community representatives designated by each of the 12 District Executive Committees, and representatives from the six Broader Public Sector bargaining units, the equity caucuses and the retiree caucus.  The forum meets three times a year to exchange information and participate in educational activities.
